Early morning Tai Chi at The Old Lodge

The Old Lodge often plays host to the wonderful Stroud Businesswomen's Network, a group who come together each month to offer women across the county the opportunity to network, share information, exchange ideas and tap into local resources. This month they tried something a little different with a tai chi class in our beautiful garden, whilst we prepared delicious fruit smoothies for them all to enjoy afterwards. We love hosting things like this - it makes life much more interesting! - so if you're looking for a venue for a meeting or conference, please get in touch.

Congratulations County Quality Meats!

We want to wish a huge congratulations to our fantastic supplier, Country Quality Meats in Nailsworth, who are celebrating their 25th birthday.

Country Quality Meats have helped The Old Fleece, Foston's Ash, The Old Lodge and The Britannia source the best local meats, meaning everything on our menus is traceable and free range.

Not only have they have supplied The Food Club's restaurants with this fantastic produce, they've even helped with the animals from our own farm behind the Old Fleece, as well as connecting us with brilliant local farms. Paul has organised all our Christmas Turkeys to be hand reared in Minchinhampton.

A massive thank you from Nick, Christophe and The Food Club team, and well done on 25 years of excellent service.

Ollie's Table Dance

Ever wondered why the glasses and cutlery look so shiny and inviting at Foston's Ash? That's because Ollie and his team take so much pride and pleasure in laying them out.

Check out this video of Ollie getting a little bit too excited when laying up; we think you'll like it.

Beautiful pictures from The Old Lodge

The Old Lodge is at its best during the summer months when Minchinhampton Common is green and lush and our garden is full of beautiful flowers. It's great for a summer holiday lunch after you've been flying a kite on the common, and we're still running our Summer Kids Menu, so you won't break the bank if you want to pop in for lunch. We've got a couple of lovely photos to share with you, one taken by local photographer Tammy Kwan (check out her website) and one by the staff here. Enjoy!
