Tipputs Inn is found on the Bath Road just outside Nailsworth at Tiltups End (so named because heavily laden carts leaving Nailsworth for Bath would tilt up, only safe after crossing the brow of the escarpment). The sight of the coaching inn must have been a great relief to those hauliers of times past. These days the former coaching inn and stone barn is still a welcome sight and a great venue for lunch and dinner and private parties.

A warm welcome and helpful staff are a trademark of Tipputs Inn, which has a large car park and pleasant terraced gardens. In fine weather you can enjoy a full garden service. With ingredients locally sourced, Tipputs' distinctive, quality food is served in the friendly bar and lounges and the galleried restaurant in the former stone barn, with varied menus for lunch and dinner. Party menus are available for pre-booked private parties.

Choose from the tempting dishes offered on the Classic, Main and Specials menus. Appetisers include a good selection of freshly made breads, olives, anchovies and tapas. Mains range from seared scallops with curried parsnip sauce, through to twice baked cheese soufflé with Waldorf salad and favourites such as shepherds pie with green beans and tagliatelle with roasted squash, red onion and sage.

The menus are clearly marked with vegetarian and gluten free options and Tipputs Inn's cellar holds a full list of quality wines and a wide selection of beers, spirits and soft drinks. Children are welcome and are offered appetising and wholesome meals.
