If you’d like your wedding day to be really special and reflect your personalities, rather than a selection from a multiple choice menu, give us a call and we’ll make an appointment for you to come and have a look around. Traditional
We will meet you at the gate to our gardens with a glass of bubbly and then circulate amongst your guests with champagne and canapés. Seating your party in the restaurant with panoramic views, a 3 course meal with wine is served, perhaps:

This may be accompanied by some excellent wines from our list, such as the Pinot Grigio or Sauvignon Blanc with the light Sangiovese Italian red or the French Le Croix Merlot.

We can announce the Best Man’s speech and serve a flute of champagne for the toast. Cutting and serving of the cake can be accompanied by tea and coffee.

A break to relax and chat and we will transform the room for the evening party which may include a band or disco of your choosing. The room has its own bar so that your guests can be easily accommodated within the restaurant suite.

A buffet of British beef, maple roast ham, quiche, spiced chicken wings and a range of popular salads, with British and continental cheeses, chutneys and pickles, and baskets of freshly baked breads. We can follow the buffet with an assortment of finger sized portions of puddings including chocolate brownie, lemon tart, profiteroles.

At the end of the day, retire to one of our 6 comfortably decorated double bedrooms.

Contemporary wedding
Choose as much or as little as you’d like from the traditional organised wedding day.
Starting with arrival drinks on the lawn, possibly pink sparkling wine, or Prosecco with a strawberry in the glass, or summer Pimms with all the trimmings. Add to this some contemporary nibbles such as mini fish & chips, smoked salmon nibbles, cocktail sausages with spicy dips.


Wedding Breakfast
Start with platters to share of Manzanilla, Kalamata and Gordal olives, Manchego cheese with Serrano ham, salami ventricella, salami Milano and shaved root vegetables. Another platter of rosemary and garlic studded camembert with freshly baked ciabatta.

Follow with roast duck breast with spring onion potato cake, carrot, cumin and honey puree and red berries and a sea bream with fondant potato, broad beans and saffron beurre blanc.

Return to the sharing idea with pudding where you can have platters of assorted puddings or alternatively a croque-en-bouche (tower of profiteroles) per table for your party to dig into.
Prosecco for the toast.

Evening party with buffet consisting of mini burgers, mini bacon baps, Murgh 65 (southern Indian spiced chicken) and spicy lamb rolls.

The day is yours and we are here to cater for you.

Previous wedding parties have requested steak and chips and jelly and ice cream and evening buffets have included pizzas from our stone ovens at the Britannia or traditional Indian banquets from the Tipputs’ Southern Indian chef.

You may wish to consider a weekday wedding which can be a little easier on the purse and if you have lots of children attending, hire a nanny and maybe a bouncy castle to keep them happily entertained.

Facilities

Panel room:
Ideal for informal gatherings, drinks and canapés or more formal dining up to 20 people

Breakfast room:
Own bar and access to the garden. This room seats 30

Restaurant suite:
Seats up to 100 and accommodates 150 party style. This set of rooms includes a bar and with its panoramic views is ideal for larger parties.

We have spacious gardens, a beautiful restaurant, cosy bar and intimate, smaller rooms, including the panelled room, to put at your disposal, as well as hotel accommodation for up to 12 people. We also have plenty of parking available for guests, whether they are arriving by coach, taxi, car, helicopter, sleigh, horse or parachute!
