250 years of rustic character welcome you to this tastefully furnished old inn. Enter through the popular terrace and you find the warm Cotswold stone interior creates a comfortable and homely atmosphere and the staff are friendly, attentive and efficient. An eclectic fusion of modern art and wooden panelling blends tastefully, and a roaring open fire in winter adds to the congenial ambience, putting The Old Fleece firmly on the Stroud Decorative Trail.

The Old Fleece has had a tradition of French chefs and the comprehensive menu brings together British and continental cuisine. Starters/Light Meals include duck and apricot terrine with tomato and chilli jam and vodka-cured salmon with a horseradish potato salad. Mains include classics such as Old Spot sausage, mash and onion gravy, and king prawn and chilli linguini, although for some, The Old Fleece cheesy chips with cajun spices just can't be beaten. Puddings? Well, lets just say its well worth staying a little longer and finding some space.
